Responsible to: Head Teacher

Pay scale:  Scale 2 Point 3 (Unqualified) salary starts at £16,226.70 through to Scale 3 Qualified £16,815.49

Terms and conditions:  32.5 hours per week – 44.86 (Term time 39 weeks per year)

Location: Cleves Primary School, Arragon Road, London E6 1QP 

Cleves Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across the school from Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6 with all children.  Cleves Primary School promotes the inclusion of a group of children with high level support needs including children with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties into the curriculum and daily life of the school enabling everyone to be a full member of our learning community.   

You will be a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who has experience of planning and following a broad and balanced curriculum through stimulation group and classroom environments. You will be committed to including and developing all children whatever their learning needs are.

We invite applications from a committed person who will take pride in their work and brings with them the following skills: 

  • Experience working with children as a Teaching Assistant, including those with English as an Additional Language
  • An understanding of how children develop and learn
  • Good English, Maths and IT skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Experience/or willing to learn about working with/supporting children with learning and care needs.
