We are a 2/3 form entry primary, over 400 pupils on roll, with a 21 place ASD resource provision in Custom House, with 37% FSM. We are looking for a dynamic experienced leader to manage our large team of 60 support staff, 2 specialist ASD teachers and support our experienced SENDCO.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and skilled individual to take on the role of Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Inclusion at Calverton Primary School.

The DHT for Inclusion will be part of a strong leadership team who work hard to maintain outstanding standards for all the children at Calverton. The Deputy Headteacher will be centrally involved in management of the school helping to establish a culture that is nurturing and rigorous. We aim to instill in our pupils an enthusiasm for learning and an interest in the world around them.
We have high expectations of our pupils and staff and strive to provide a learning environment that ensures our pupils are challenged and make good or better progress in all aspects of their school life.
We celebrate every aspect of our Learners’ learning from their social and emotional development and life skills acquisition to the national curriculum subjects of reading, writing, maths and more.
We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- The drive, vision, ambition and energy to achieve excellence for all our pupils
- A passion to provide the best possible learning and teaching
- Proven ability to challenge, inspire and motivate colleagues through change.
- Can demonstrate good leadership, management, organisation and communication skills
- Team Player
- Extensive knowledge of SEND code of practice
- An understanding of ASD children
