An experienced Maths Teaching assistant is required for a teaching assistant role for the remainder of the academic year, 31st August 2019. This role is ideally suited to TA’s who have been based in a Maths classroom in a pupil referral unit.

London Borough of Newham Pupil Referral Units are a multi-site organisation offering education programmes for young people unable to attend their mainstream school. Our aim is to help remove barriers to learning through an individualised response to our pupil’s needs who come from many different cultures. We passionately believe in giving young people every opportunity to learn and succeed in our friendly, supportive school.

For this position, you must be a talented in Maths and hold the right attitude and resolve to teach. This is a wonderful career opportunity for a TA wanting to help make a difference in the lives of young learners.

As a Maths teaching assistant, you will be supporting pupils either individually or in small groups. You will work closely with the school SENCo and the Maths department, with supporting your own small groups of children outside of the classroom with Maths intervention programmes. Salary: Scale 3 £17,260 - £17,661
