Newham PRUs is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Nurture Teacher. We require a passionate, high calibre teacher who has exceptional subject knowledge to join Tunmarsh PRU.
The successful candidate will:
• Teach creative and exciting Nuture lessons to students with a range of abilities
• Through effective teaching, develop the students’ ability to fully apply high level thinking skills to solve challenging problems
• Play a full and active role in the continual development of high quality teaching and learning across Newham PRUs
• Achieve at least good or better teaching on a constant basis
Tunmarsh School is a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in the London Borough of Newham. The school offers a range of educational programmes for young people who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our aim is to work together with our students to overcome barriers they may have to engaging with education and learning. Teaching and support across the school is determined through an individualised response to each individual pupil’s learning needs.
Working within a PRU setting can be emotionally challenging, but is highly rewarding. We passionately believe in giving young people every opportunity to learn and succeed in our friendly, inclusive and supportive school.
